Safahi Publishing

Pay once, or pay nothing.

Buy the work outright and keep 100% of net revenue — or pay nothing up front and we take 30% only if the book sells. Either way: print, eBook & Kindle, your ISBN, distribution to 40,000+ retailers and libraries, and you keep your rights.

Two ways to publish

Choose how you pay for it.

Never both. Most publishers charge a fee and take a share of your royalties — you do one or the other here.

Buy it outright
Your tier fee
  • Pay once. Keep every penny the book earns.
  • You keep 100% of net revenue, for as long as it sells
  • One payment, no ongoing split
  • Same work, same distribution, same team
  • Best if you can fund it up front, or expect to sell well
No money down
Partner with us
$0 up front
  • Pay nothing. We only earn if your book does.
  • You keep 70% of net revenue; we keep 30%
  • No fee, ever — we carry the production cost
  • Same work, same distribution, same team
  • Open to any author — one book at a time, in order of application
  • Or awarded as Publisher's Choice to a book we particularly want
  • Switch to outright any time before we print, and keep 100%
What your book needs

Three levels of work.

The level depends on the manuscript, not on which track you pick. The price shown is what you’d pay to buy it outright; on the partnership track it’s what we invest in your book.

Where you live

Regional pricing.

The prices above are for authors in high-income countries. Buying outright shouldn’t depend on where you happen to live, so it doesn’t: the fee is reduced by World Bank income classification. The partnership track is free everywhere and needs no adjustment.

Buy outrightEssentialProfessionalSignature
Standard$1,000$2,500$5,000
Lower-middle-income countries$500$1,250$2,500
Low-income countries$300$750$1,500

Tell us where you’re based when you submit and we’ll quote the right column. It’s a price, not a discount you have to ask for.

Not sure which one you need? You don’t have to guess. Send us the manuscript and we’ll read it, tell you which level it lands in, and show you exactly which findings put it there — before you pay anything. Every level includes print, eBook & Kindle in one language (English). Hybrid and vanity presses charge $2,500 to $25,000 for the same work.

Distribution

Published, not just printed.

Every tier includes the whole distribution footprint. An editor hands back a file; we put the book on sale.

Questions

What’s included in the price?

Every level includes your paperback, eBook, and Kindle edition in English, your ISBN, and global distribution — at no extra cost. Audiobooks and additional languages are optional add-ons.

Which should I choose — pay the fee, or the partnership?

If you can fund the work up front and you expect the book to sell, buy it outright: you pay once and keep 100% of net revenue for as long as it sells. If you’d rather not pay anything, take the partnership: we carry the whole production cost and keep 30% of net. You never pay both.

What does “net revenue” mean?

What’s left after print cost and retailer or platform fees. On the partnership track you keep 70% of that and we keep 30%. If you paid the fee, you keep all of it.

Can anyone take the partnership track?

Yes. It isn’t reserved for books we think will be bestsellers — we simply work on one partnership book at a time, because we carry the whole production cost on each one. It runs as a straight queue: if the place is occupied when you apply we’ll tell you where you are in line, and it opens again as soon as the book in it is published. Buying outright is always available immediately.

What is Publisher's Choice?

The partnership place normally goes to whoever is next in the queue. Publisher’s Choice is when we give it instead to a manuscript we particularly want to publish, so that an exceptional book doesn’t sit behind an ordinary one purely because the ordinary one applied first. The terms are identical to any other partnership book: no fee, and you keep 70% of net. You can’t apply for it, and there’s nothing to do differently — every manuscript we read is considered for it automatically.

Can I switch from the partnership to paying the fee?

Yes, up until we send the book to print: pay your tier fee and you keep 100% of net revenue from the first sale. Be aware that the window is short and it is the only one — production can run in a matter of weeks, and once the book has gone to print the split is fixed for good, whether or not it has been published yet. By that point the work is delivered and the 30% is what paid for it. So if you think you will want to buy it out, decide early rather than waiting to see how the book sells; it will not have sold anything yet.

Can I get an audiobook?

Yes — add an AI-narrated audiobook for $250 (standard) or $500 (premium, recommended for fiction), distributed to Audible, Apple, and Spotify. Prefer a human narrator? Contact us for a quote.

Can you publish my book in other languages?

Yes — in up to 50 languages. Each additional language is 20% off your tier and includes the eBook + Kindle edition; print is available in supported languages. Higher tiers add editorial and native-speaker review.

Do I keep my rights?

Yes. You own your book and your content, always.

How long does it take?

Our first client book went from manuscript to print-ready in five days. How fast depends on the manuscript and on you: a finished, clean draft with a responsive author moves in days; one that needs restructuring, rights cleared or chapters rewritten takes longer. After we submit, Amazon usually lists within about 72 hours, and Barnes & Noble and Ingram roll out over the following weeks — that part is the retailers’ timetable, not ours.
